We left last night on a red eye flight for milwaukee, wisc. Didn't sleep a pinch! For the last 5 years, I have taken emilee "home". It seems each year she is more and more excited to see my family. I am blogging this vacation so someday she can look back and realize how much a little girl, such as herself, truly values family. She is sitting next to me at the moment in a limo, smiling ear to ear because she can't wait to see her "family". She picks this vacation over disneyland in a heart beat. Many would say "why"? Its wisconsin for gods sake. Well, disneyland isn't reality, it can have all the memories in the world, but nothing she will remember about family or traditions. As she gets older, she is changing so much. Her emotions are expressed. She thinks out everything! This trip should be interesting because she has 3 other cousins (2nd cousins) that are all close in age. Here is where the memories start, and mama's traditions finally make sense. In the same breath, how thankful am I for a sister that does everything with us, and for us. She's amazing. She's almost like the husband I never had...laugh! But she is my right hand, my fixer, my rock....lob you sala!
We had a great time with family. Too much food. Great wine (Thanks Uncle Den) and it was even to our liking. Horse riding, Lake Geneva, Milwaukee State Fair, Memories of Annie, again...and some good time with the Cuccaire's, Troha's, Cambio's and Perone Family.
